Process and Procedures

Team Composition

  • School Teams: All students come from one school only.
  • Independent Teams: Parents or private organizations may choose to form their own teams.

Divisions

To participate, each student must be enrolled in the member school, institute, or independent team. Students who have completed or will complete eighth grade on the day of the first test may not participate.A team with any 7th or 8th grade student must be in Division M. A team with any 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student should be in Division I, however, a school may put any of its 6th grade students Division M team, if both divisions are available at that school. A team with any 2nd or 3rd grade student must be in Division P. No team may be split between two divisions.

Team Size

The maximum number of students on any team is 20; however, a school may enroll more than one team, upon payment of the annual entry fee for each additional team. Although there is no set minimum number of team members, for school and institute teams, a team’s score is determined by the cumulative scores of the top 10 students after the last test results have been submitted.

Registering Students

Each team should have a designated Coach. Team coaches can register a team. A coach can register multiple teams with payment of team fee. Team members can be added by the coach anytime with payment of individual fee. The registration for teams close on January 15th, 2019.

After team registration and fee processing is completed, coaches can use the Coach Dashboard to manage their teams.
